This shows the steps

1. Recall Job showing the full image of 18x24 and mat border.
2. Go to Print to File where the size is correct
3. Once I click ok the image moves to the right cutting off the edge.

This is kind of all over the place.  I can't really tell what is going on.  First I have one small corner of the live view showing where something looks cut off, but I have no context: the rest of the screen showing important parameters is missing.  Then I have the print to file setup showing 18x24 page size.  And finally a screen shot showing a 19.7 x 29 page size?  Where did that come from?  Where did you get a 19+ x 29+ page size?  Basically I have no idea of your sequence and how you got to these results.

If you set up your print to file page size as 18x24 and you add a print at 18x24 (or smaller), there will be nothing cut off.  If you add your border afterward, just make sure you don't use a B+ border which will expand the print size.

For me to see what is going on, I need a sequence showing what you are doing and I have to see the whole screen so I can see how it is set up.  If the forum image size limitation is stopping you, just upload them to Google Drive or something and give a link.  What would be even better is a screen recording/screen cast showing what you are doing in video form, but if you can't do that, I at least need to see the screen shot of the whole Qimage window where the border is getting cut off.

Bottom line: for anything to get cut off, either you've done something to make your print size bigger than 18x24... or your page size is smaller than 18x24.

Did you use a B+ border which would have made your print larger?  I can't tell anything without screenshots.  Just post a screenshot of what you are seeing.

Just make sure your print to file parameters (paper size) is correct.  It sounds like you selected a paper size that is too small.

I too would like to see hard-proofing like in this video. (It's an updated version (in principle) of the other video but for Lightroom)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7krY4Vru5o&t=270s

I was hoping that the plugin would pick up the created proofing strips in Lightroom but it doesn't and there seems to be no way to create an image that is transferable Photoshop or to Qimage. My monitor is profiled as are the papers I use. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the software, the learning and the prints I'm getting. I think this is way of saving paper and ink.

I've tried creating a template myself but it seems that when I try to adjust 1 strips exposure as in the video, Qimage adjusts all 5 or 7 strips.

Ok I tried to do the print to file process, right now I have the image on screen and a matt border around it but when I go to print to file on the first dialog box I set the parameters and part of the image shifts off screen? Then I look at the image in my win photo viewer and indeed part of the image is missing on the right?
