Just make sure your print to file parameters (paper size) is correct.  It sounds like you selected a paper size that is too small.

I too would like to see hard-proofing like in this video. (It's an updated version (in principle) of the other video but for Lightroom)

I was hoping that the plugin would pick up the created proofing strips in Lightroom but it doesn't and there seems to be no way to create an image that is transferable Photoshop or to Qimage. My monitor is profiled as are the papers I use. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the software, the learning and the prints I'm getting. I think this is way of saving paper and ink.

I've tried creating a template myself but it seems that when I try to adjust 1 strips exposure as in the video, Qimage adjusts all 5 or 7 strips.

Ok I tried to do the print to file process, right now I have the image on screen and a matt border around it but when I go to print to file on the first dialog box I set the parameters and part of the image shifts off screen? Then I look at the image in my win photo viewer and indeed part of the image is missing on the right?

To put into a pictures folder in case I want to print it later but Mike has said just to save it as a job but if I need to save just the file as a jpg or tiff do a print to file

When you say "used later on" what do you mean?  If you want to print it again exactly that way, then save as a job which will capture everything including the text and you can bring it back exactly as it is.  If it's for a display on a screen or other media device, then yes, print it to file, but be sure to get rid of disable the print profile first.

Floating text and borders are print (layout) features: they do not belong to the image as they are not image edits.  Use print to file: drop down the printer selection and select "Print to File" and set up your page/output preferences.  Then when you print, it'll create files of each page.

Once I have gotten the photo where I want it with floating text and a matt border how do I save it as a tiff or jpg to be used later on. I see job, sessions, layout etc and the explanation for each but these seem to save all sorts of parameters. How can I save just the photo and place in a folder I created?

I have used the cut marks option, in my case the width of my image is 40x30 on a 44" roll so I'm not sure what will happen when I add a border to the image to be 44"x34" ( I want 2" top left and right, and 2.25" at the bottom). I assume the cut lines defining the 44" will get cut off (which is what I want) and only the horizontal ones will remain. If that's the case this will be a good workaround, if not maybe adding a cut mark at page start/end would be a good option in the future.

Qimage can place cut marks around each print so if you only have one print on each page, you can place cut marks on where to cut each print.  You can add white borders if you want some space around the prints.  See the "Cut Marks" option on Qimage's main UI.

I don't actually see it in that usual area which makes me wonder if epson removed it or not.

Is there an option for QImage to print page cut lines? My image is sitting in a 24x31 space.
