I think Capture One has the ability to do something like "Send To" so you could send photos to Qimage that way.  I'm not sure because I don't use Capture One.  As for Affinity Photo, the issue with that software is that while they support Photoshop plugins, they only support editing plugins.  They need to support file automation plugins and then the Qimage PS plugin would work.  If more people are moving away from Adobe (again), it might be a good time for Affinity to look into adding that feature.  But that would be up to them: nothing we can do from our end.

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the prompt reply.  Now I understand the 'thinking' behind the creation of the subfolders.  It works fine this morning.

I will keep an eye on it.  The software is great.  Is there a module for connecting Capture One with Qimage Ultimate??  With the Adobe blowup these past weeks, it seems quite a few folks are moving to Capture One or Affinity Photo...

Thanks,
Andrew

Nothing has changed in that regard.  It always puts the current export in the root export folder and then when Qimage opens, it looks in the export folder and creates the by-date subfolder.  The image(s) are left in the main export folder until the next export so that the most recent export remains and is always there for diagnostic purposes.

If folders are not being created, then something is stopping the ability to create subfolders or there is a conflict in the application data folder where Qimage thinks the application data folder is in another location: that can happen if Qimage was reinstalled or moved to a different location.  You might want to try just running the installer again to see if that clears it up: maybe that will get the export folder location(s) in sync.

Regards,
Mike

Well, FWIW, I got my Z6iii and the raws and other images seem to work fine with Qimage and everything else I've tried with them. There is a file type used for pixel shifted imaging that nothing but Nikon software works with, but that's not surprising.

Just not a darn thing to complain about.  Cool

Hi All,
I noticed that Qimage stopped creating a subfolder for image exports from Lr.  The images are being sent to the root subfolder (C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\ddisoftware\Qimage\Plugins\Export) and piling up in the Export folder.  In the past a subfolder was created automatically as YEAR-MO-DAY HOUR.MIN.SEC (for example: 2024-07-01 19.02.35 [Lr]).

Is there a setting or checkbox I need to set/click for QI to create the export subfolder??

Thanks,
Andrew

Oh, no... That "resolution" is the resolution (PPI) that Qimage sends to the driver.  Driver "Quality" setting is different and doesn't equate to PPI but rather a "highest" to "lowest" gauge.

Think of Qimage's "Resolution" as how hard Qimage is running the driver, and the driver's "Quality" setting as how hard the driver is running the actual printer.

Yeah !

It works great with these settings  Smiley.
I thought if I put a low resolution in Qimage it would handle the driver.

Thanks for the tip.

The driver is still in max quality mode which disabled roll paper.  You have to change it after unchecking the highest quality option in AI Copilot.  Click "Properties", go into the driver, drop down "Print Quality", select "Quality Options", and select "4" for the quality instead of "5".

Once you "OK" out of the driver with the quality 4 setting, you can changer to roll paper.

Tested and working (see attached).

Mike
