Thanks. I didn't really need the scale: I was using different software to measure and I measured the width and height incorrectly. The print is about 650x225 pixels in your photo and if the paper is 13 inches tall with about 1/4 inch white space top and bottom, that gives a print of about 12.5 x 35.9 inches. Pretty close. So it looks like at some point, you had used a Microsoft/Windows driver that incorrectly allowed print lengths beyond the Canon 26.61 inch spec. I'm guessing you probably wish you could find/reinstall that old driver but I have no idea how you would obtain Windows "stock" drivers from the past.

Drivers from the past would be great! However if i "printed to file" (and I can at that size) how do i get that to the printer? Just a thought . . .
Well that wont work. Must be time to send them out or get a new printer

Yeah, as I'm sure you found out, that won't help. Technically you could create a file but whatever you use to try to print it will have the same limitations because all software (outside of those expensive RIPs) will be bound to the driver.

I have been following this thread with great interest and really have nothing significant to contribute, but I am curious, did you follow Mike's earlier suggestion and open your automated job log in Qimage? My job log has every job I have EVER printed, going back over 16 years, two computers and three printers ago. Yes it takes a half a minute or so to open, but it might at least tell you the answer as to what/how you did this. Just curious.

Yes i did look at the log. Unfortunately Qimage was reinstalled as new about 2015 after a system crash. No info there to account for what happened. I've been using Qimage since at least 2003. It's a great utility!
