Harry,
I would do it this way, were I wanting to make great prints and use up the Canon paper.
Click Edit in Qimage, then select color management.
See screen snap.
There's a funny looking icon all the way to the right of ENABLE Printer profile.
If you click that icon button all the way to the right, you will get what is shown in the screen snap. It sets the profile to a special one that was made for these conditions.
It also says to set your Driver to ICM.

As far as what paper selection to choose in the driver, check the Canon paper box for an insert or label that tells you what paper selection to use if you are printing using an Epson.
If not, then experiment with glossy or semi gloss and see what you like better.
