Hi,
I have a z3100 and the HP driver sometimes corrupts and will not retain settings like color management or rotation.

If I overwrite the driver to sort this, what would I have to do to restore all my print sizes, paper sizes etc.

TIA!

Ok Lets see if this helps.
I make many printer setups for myself and all the papers and sizes and profiles I use.
I probably have 50 or more.
I create the perfect setup for the job first. That means printer selection, paper size, paper type, matching profile, and any other peripheral that you are using; like Smart Sharpen, etc,
Make a print... ALL GOOD? pleased?
Now SAVE THIS setup by using the little SAVE routine shown as a icon of a floppy disk located to the right of the PROPERTIES button on the right of the Printers and settings tab. As you can see in 119 below, there are buttons. Select the P for Printer button, name it, and Save it.

Look at snap 116. I messed it up... Cheap Paper at 13 x 19 size, Quality a 3 of 5, odd profile, wil 117 showing weird settings.
I recall in 118 a Canon Semi Gloss paper with all the correct driver settings, profiles, quality settings, paper size etc. All in RECALL P button and OPEN.
Hope this helps
Fred
