Title: layout
Post by: marionbabich on January 26, 2011, 11:50:03 PM
I'm printing on the z6100 printer. If I use the HP Instant Printing Utility, when a print is printed the paper is cut right after the print. Using Qimage Ultimate I have to layout a page size then place images to print. If the page size is bigger than the images then it is wasted paper. Is there a way to drag images on the layout and after it prints it will cut after the last print? Awhile back Mike replied to my email saying if my printer software will do this then Qimage will. But it won't.

Any help is appreciated.
Marion

Marion,
I don't know when Mike replied to you about your request. He has added a feature a few months back which will determine how much paper is needed to complete the print and stop, and also cut.
You will find this in the Right Mouse menu found after clicking the image on the preview panel upper right area of the main page.
About 3/4 of the way down that menu, you will find the one that says, "Remove white space at bottom of page"

It works on most all printers. If you already tried this, and it does not work, unfortunately, your HP is not one of the printers that accepts the feature.

Thanks for replying Fred. I use the remove white space but unless you have a size already in the print driver it will not just size to the end of the print. I know my z6100 will cut at the end of a print, it does already in the HP print utility but I'm looking for Ultimate to do it.

Thanks,
Marion
