Hi, new to forum. Tried searching but couldn't find my answer.

I may have accidentally (actually daughter using printer) may have let one color run out. Using PC inks and cartridges from their site. Printer has sat idle for a while too while a host of other emergencies were dealt with leaving no time for printing.

Nozzle check shows most colors with perfect to small skips except one color (fourth from left, not in front of printer now) Completely blank. Ran 2 cleaning cycles, refilled ink carts so another cleaning cycle. I am hesitant to do any more. Just my luck today I would have a flood of ink out the bottom of my printer. I am doubtful this is a clog since it's completely blank but I guess it's possible.

I have not purchased Qimage yet but will the program help me purge just that one channel (color) in the purge sheet option by selecting only that color and running it multiple times? I can try priming the cart separately.

Thanks in advance for any help

See attached screensnap.
You can uncheck the colors that you do not want cleaned and keep running the checked color over and over.
That should help.

Thank you, I take it it's a yes then it will eventually prime the line?

Will the trial version perform that function? Everything I read says the trial has very few limitations, RAW support and only 4 images at a time? Temporary lull in disposable funds.

I never actually ran a demo copy, but it is my understanding that it has all the features working. It is a legitimate "Try before you buy"

Let us know how you make out.

Downloaded trial version and fully functional for purge printing.

The bad news is I ran about a dozen purge pages with periodic nozzle checks. I started the process with about 20% of the channel printing and went down to ZERO as I continued.

Probably not in the scope of this forum but at this point I having trouble telling for sure if it's air or a serious clog. The cart appeared to be primed according the manufacturers instructions.

Not sure what to do now except continue to print purge pages

Love to find the program to force the printer to go through it's initial prime cycle since it pulls a vacuum on each line

Since PC INKS is a very reputable company, and you are using their inks, I think I would give them a call.

I did contact them via email. First reply didn't address my question

At this point I am not certain it's air or clog. If a clog would seem odd with drastic difference between this one channel and the rest but  I am no expert.

I assume you just keep refilling the same cart so the common thread would be the cart itself.  I'd be tempted to buy one original OEM cart of the color that is giving you the problem and replace that cart.  You may also want to ask Jose Rodriguez on his Facebook page since he has that printer and ink and he's the premier ink refiller on the internet:
