Title: print page layout with epson stylus pro 9880
Post by: eamon on April 25, 2016, 09:00:17 AM
Hi. I'm looking for advice on how to set up an image as to know where it is going to print on my media. For example, if I want to print an image on the end of my media roll on the right hand side how would I set this up? Also I would like to print to fabric to make cushion covers, again I have the problem of not knowing where I'm printing. If I was to print my image lets say 50cm by 50cm (19.7x19.7") than leave 70cm (27.6") of fabric than print my business logo how would I set this up?? thanks for any help.

Good day,
Since I don't have enough information as to size of page, width of roll and size of print, I can't  make an exact picture for you, but the basics would be to place your image and logo into the queue on a proper sized user defined page.
Then go into Page Editor, and the Location tab.
Now select what you want to move over, and use arrow keys with CTRL or Shift or just arrow keys, and place image and logo  where you wish on your print.

When you are satisfied, you can save as a JOB to recall again.

If you use this set up often, you can create a layout for the setup and Save that for recall.

Hi Fred, thanks for the reply and great information. As an example of a cushion I'm trying to print: My total fabric size is 40cm x 1m. (15.7"x39.4")
.7 The main image is 40cm x 40cm (15.7x15.7") positioned at the top of the fabric which will cover the front of the cushion. However I need to have enough blank fabric on the template to be the back of the cushion cover and put my logo on the edge at the bottom so that when it is all folded and stitched together my logo is on the rear of the cushion. My media roll is 44 inches wide and I'm not sure how to position my template on it so that I can minimise wasting fabric. It would be ideal if I could position the template to print across the media rather than vertically. Thanks for your help, Eamon

I've taken the liberty to give the inch sizes in the posts for Fred's benefit - he's not good with metric sizes!  ::)

Thanks Terry

Based on what I can glean from the description.
See my screen snap.
To get the most from a 44"roll and waste less, I made two sets on the page...  Prints are size specified on the page size

You look at the screen snaps and see what you make of them
