Greetings, all,

Newbie here but long time user of Qimage and now Qimage Ultimate.

How does the Windows Image Color Matching (ICM) system fit in with how Qimage Ultimate interacts with printer drivers?

Is there any relationship between "ICM" (meaning the Windows thing) and the "ICM" mode found in various Epson and Canon printer drivers (and likely others).

The Windows ICM has no effect on printers and the driver doesn't try to use any Windows ICM data.  The "ICM" mode in the driver is so that software (like Qimage) can send the image + profile to the driver if you want the driver to manage color.

If you have a printer profile for your printer/ink/paper you never want to use that option: select the profile in Qimage so Qimage can manage the color and select "None" in the driver.  If Qimage's driver AI is active, it will automatically set the driver to "None" for color management so you only need to select the profile you want to use.
