I made profiles for Costco paper and the R1900 using Vue scan and the Canon Lide 80. Used either NCA or color controls (aRGB, gamma 2.2) in print driver. Numbers looked quite good: for NCA Target exp 243, 5 max/min, no gray clipped. Profile #s 240, 3, 79.9, 15.3- only concern was the RGB values 38-255, 26-255, 26-255. For color controls target exposure 246, max/min 8, no gray clipped. Profile #s 246, 3, 80.8, 15.3- RGB values 0-255, 0-255, 0-255. So color controls looks like a better choice. Is that correct? When I printed the prism test picture, the red square in the 36 square color chart printed quite orange. Is this expected from the Lide 80? Any suggestions on editing #s needed to correct this? I edited the NCA profile and improved the red, however hoping I can do better. I’d like to apply the same corrections to the Color Controls profile, however I didn’t write down the changes I made. After editing a profile and saving the modified profile, when you go to edit profile at a latter date is there a way to see the actual adjustments that you made on the sliders in the adjustment window? If not I would sure like to see that feature in the future. Sorry for the long post. Haven’t used Prism in quite a long time and I remember the learning curve was quite steep for me, but this time through no issues. Great program!
