Title: New scanner/camera profiles needed? Post by: wolverine@MSU on September 04, 2014, 11:30:49 AM I made scanner and camera profiles with PP V6.5 several years ago. Would profiles made with PP 8.43 from the same target scan/images be any different? In other words, does the ICC profile generation algorithm in 8.43 apply to scanner/camera profiles, or is it just for printer profiles?

I know the new target series has more accurate TXT files that go with it, but using the same old target might not show a difference. I would make a new profile, and decide if you could tell old from new. Fred Title: Re: New scanner/camera profiles needed? Post 8.0 profiles will be significantly more accurate than pre 8.0 profiles regardless of the target used. This is true for all profiles: camera, scanner, and printer.
