Title: Photoshop CS4 doesn't find the scanner profile made with Prism Post by: cjmorgan on June 24, 2009, 07:28:50 PM I made a scanner profile but Photoshop (CS4) doesn't find it in the list of profiles I could embed. Maybe there are certain naming requirements? I see the profile in the correct Windows XP folder, along with the others. I tried restarting the computer but that didn't add it to the PS list.

It would normally be in C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color. Browse to that location and find the profile, select and right click, then choose "Install" from the menu list. If it says "uninstall", you have a different problem. Terry. Title: Re: Photoshop CS4 doesn't find the scanner profile made with Prism Post by: cjmorgan on June 24, 2009, 09:08:35 PM Thanks! I did install it, and right-clicking also brought the option to associate it with my scanner. However, Photoshop still doesn't see it. I finally found some instructions at the PS help site, which said installing should be enough. Maybe I'll try making the profile again.

I understand that PS looks for the descriptor section of the profile in the list. If you left that blank or it is the same as a previous profile in Prism, you wont find it from PS.Qimage shows the entire file with file name and descriptor and date. I named the profile something that was already in the list, and I was looking for the file name in Photoshop, not the descriptor. Thanks!
