Just thinking about getting PP going.

First problem I cannot get Trial VueScan  or Win 7 to recognise my old Umax Astra 2200 scanner (not used since Win95)

I see Terry gave a good report on "cheap Canon Lide 110" back in 2013

Done a search on Cannons and it seems 120's and 220's are now the versions on offer (Trade Scanners and PC World at £50 to £60)

I expect there is not much difference between 110 and 220's

Any body out there using these Cannons with PP. who could make comment.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,
The feature of these Lide scanners is they have a specific LED lighting (3 colour I think?) which helps with colour quality. There are now othwer scanners that use LED lighting but the Lide models are reasonably cheap, or they used to be.

Thanks Terry

I will take a chance and get one, no doubt I will return with multiple PP problems.

Ok I am now back again.

Got a Canon Lite scanner
Got a Target from Wolf Faust.
Got trial VueScan.
Got Scanner and VueScan working.
Got Printer printing targets

Now first questing, I presume I require the VueScan Professional Edition @ $90 to do scanner calibration

Will be back tomorrow.

Jeff
