Hello,

I'm having troubles getting good color on canvas from my Canon 9500 Mark II, so I thought I'd check to see what resources DDI has. The Printer Profiles page on the DDI site (http://www.ddisoftware.com/printerprofiles/) is confusing to me. The Profile Prism page it links to doesn't have any further links for ordering the software. And the $25 pre-made profiles at the bottom of the page seem quite old.

So, if you were me, and you had a Canon 9500 Mark II and wanted to print on Premium Art canvas (they don't have an ICC), what would you do?

Thanks.

I see that there are profiles for something called Canson Canvas...  I have no idea what that is.
On the other hand, if you are part techie, and want to roll your own profiles, you might consider Profile Prism. That's Mike Chaney's printer profile making software. Once you learn the knack, you van make your own profiles for almost any paper.   (Some paper just wont profile properly)

If you are not part techie and want a proper profile made for you, google up Cathy's Profiles.
She will work with you to make professional profiles for you.

Thoughts to ponder.

Part way down the page you first linked to, in blue type/underlined  - click on that - it opens to a specific pp page, http://www.ddisoftware.com/prism/ with a purchase menu item on the lhs, which opens elsewhere showing you how to buy. However, for heavily textured papers/canvas, it will depend on your scanner as to how good a profile you can get. Quite often, the paper supplier can make a profile for your inks and paper, and they generally do it foc, if you buy paper from them. This is generally worth doing, unless you need the speed and adjustments possible with profile prism.

Best wishes,

Ray

Now I see it, thanks. The DDI Software site has menus that come and go (some pages have menus, some don't), plus many of the menus look exactly the same. That's why I didn't see it. Many thanks.
