I am having extreme problems with building a printer profile. I now have a Color Munki Display which I used and the best I can tell looks good and pictures print well using Epson profiles, OEM ink and R1900. I am attaching two captures of many profiles attempts which were similar. I am hoping that someone has a hint as to what is wrong as I have followed all instructions using the setup in QU and setup for Vuescan. Even to a lay person the dynamic range is certainly low on both. The first is using Printer Target - PP and the second is Printer Target - Bright. When I first purchased Profile Prism, more than a couple of years, I had reasonable success with it, now this which I don't understand.
Don,
Usually, when the readings are so far out of whack as you show in your snaps, it indicates that you might not have got the angle corners locked onto the correct places.
Most of the time, people forget to go below the gray scale.
I also question why you are using the BRIGHT target. If I remember correctly, that was special for some older Epson's like a 1270 and a 1280 that had special needs.
If you are using Vuescan, (you didn't mention which scanner), try to scan in RAW mode and save as a TIF.
Maybe something will jog the memory???
