Recommended scanner(s) for PP

Hi All,
Been using my trusty Canon Lide 80 for several years of PP profiling but with Windows 7 64-bit now installed it seems it has come to the end of it's supported life (unless anyone out there knows any different). I know an XP dual boot will work but will become tiresome and the Win7 XP mode doesn't seem to support the driver so I'm considering just buying a new scanner and hopefully also benefit from better scans. It will mostly only be used for PP (with Vuescan) so I'm not looking for top-money/feature models. So, any recommendations/shareable experiences ?
Thanks in advance
David

I've had very good luck with my Canon 8800F. It is supported by win 7 64bit. It is also supported by Vuescan software as well.

Thanks GeekDad. I have read some good reviews and may well go for that model as I remembered I also have some very old 120 transparencies that would be great to scan.

Also, check at Epson.com and check their Clearance section. They usually have high quality scanners cheap.

David
I am running my LiDE80 in Virtual Box using a Vista x86 install hosted on a Vista 64 install.
It is very easy to set up and I save the scans to a USB key.
I found it easier than re profiling a scanner.
cheers
Daniel
