Title: The ICC prfile is not supported
Post by: Meko on April 30, 2011, 10:04:12 PM
Hi there,

I am running an HP Z6100. I have some default HP ICC profiles for HP medias and I have also created some new ICC profiles for new print photo papers.

I have bought Qimage recently and started setting it up. In the Printer ICC I have selected the customized ICC profile and finally started to print the image. But whenever I try to print with the new ICC profile, it gives me following error message:

The ICC profile(s) listed below are not supported
C:/WINXP/system32/spool/drivers/color/HP_Z6100_HP_Universal_matte.icc
Qimage only supports RGB and grayscale profiles.

I have also used the standard ICC profiles provided by HP but they are also not working and I always receive the same error message. Did I miss some steps during the ICC profile creation? Please help since I can not find any hint and info in the Internet.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards
Meko

Qimage does not support CMYK profiles, if that's the issue.

Qimage does not support CMYK profiles, if that's the issue.

Right: if the profiles you have are CMYK profiles, they were not meant for Windows printing.  All Windows drivers are RGB which is why Qimage supports RGB profiles only: because it uses the Windows printer drivers.
