Title: any plans to support shortcuts for images?
Post by: nigeldh on December 19, 2009, 03:17:36 AM
It seems that Qimage is the only image management program that I have that still does not support shortcuts.
I prefer to keep my image in one place then make shortcuts to the final folder instead of copying the image.

Qimage is primarily a program for printing images, the best in the World  :o  ;)

However, you can effectively do what you are asking by using the album feature.
Another technique is to Save a Session once you have loaded the queue.

Remember too that you can have images from multiple folders in the queue and a right click on the image in the preview or queue enables you to go straight to its folder.

Hi Nigel,

Qimage does not directly support shortcuts, it has some alternatives that Terry has mentioned. However,if you open the folder containing your shortcuts in a separate window - i.e. not within Qimage 'Explore' or whatever, you can select the shortcut to the image and drag it into the print queue in Qimage. It has to be done one image at a time, afaik. This may or may not help you, if you only intend printing a few images at a time. If it is a popular request, or easy to implement, then maybe Mike will add shortcuts to a later version.

Best wishes,

Ray
