Hi Mike

In release v2009.260 06/16/09 Low v2009.260 includes the following: you siad it included:
Color management: ICM engine updated to latest release to ensure the highest possible quality when working with ICC profiles.

I gather that proved to be troublesome but I wonder if you are thinking about moving forward again with the later version of LittleCMS

No.  Marti Maria still has not corrected the bugs that I reported in 1.18 so I plan to stick with 1.17 until he fixes the numerous problems in 1.18.  There were no fixes or changes that affect quality anyway so you're not missing anything.
