I have just installed Q image on to a new Mac using Parallels desktop 4. Is there any way to copy settings like paper and print sizes from my old Q image on the PC to the new one?

Use "Utilities", "Explore Qimage Application Data" on the old computer and copy everything from that folder (including subfolders) to the new computer: use the same "Utilities", "Explore Qimage Application Data" on the new computer to find out where to copy the files to.

I assume that you are referring to the print sizes in the print properties box, and some that you might have personalized and added.
If so, look in the old Qimage, (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ddisoftware\Qimage) and locate and copy sizes.ini.
Paste that into the same place in the new installation.

There are 4 or 5 INI files. You might want to copy these one at a time, testing the results to see if they are compatible.

Thanks guys, Worked out fine. Now that I have Q image up and running I have tried a few test prints using my existing copied sizes etc and these print okay except that I am unable to add the file info to the prints using the info tick box. On further investigation it would appear that the file info is missing when printing to my epson 7600 but are present when printing to my konicaMinolta 5430dl A4 laser printer. Any suggestions?

The file info is obtained from the EXIF information buried in the image header, so I wouldn't look at the 7600 as the culprit unless you have selected borderless prints.
After you check the box for INFO, go to the Full Page Editor and see if you see the text under the image in the margin.
If so that should print.
One more thing to look at.
With the images in the queue, and the print size set as you wish, you can see the print size in the lower left corner box called the queue. That will be sent to the printer.
If you then check the info box, you will see the print size change as adding the text will add a few hundredths to the print.
You can tick that info on and off watching the print size change. Then you can believe it is being sent to the printer.

We are using 24 inch roll paper set to 7 inch transport in this instance. File info now prints when Roll paper is selected in source drop down box in Epson 7600 print set up dialog but this prints a white strip along the edge of the print. On our old machine we selected Roll Paper (no margins) in this dialog box but that option is not available on the new machine. I chose Roll paper (borderless) as being the same. Why would this not allow the file info to print?

My guess would be that borderless, as its name implies, prints to the edge of the paper, expanding the print size, and overwriting the INFO text.

You do have it working now?
Then we are good.
