Title: Panoramas - Canon iP4500
Post by: johngie on February 21, 2010, 03:29:51 PM
Hi folks,

I use two different printers with QI - an HP B9180 for larger size prints and a Canon iP4500 for more "routine" stuff.

Using an A2 cut down the middle (210mm x 594mm) I can print a pan on the HP with no difficulty and I have done it on the Canon too (with the same size of paper). Now, for some reason, I've  lost or forgotten the setup on the Canon. In the Canon driver, I've set up a paper size of 594 x 210 mm (allowed in the driver settings) and a page size a little less than that. When I open the print properties dialog box from QI it shows the size as Custom (scaled) and prints accordingly. The Canon help file is of little use with this and I've searched elsewhere with little success. The other thing I can't seem to do (any more) is to name the custom paper size - I had been able to do this in the past.

I appreciate that this is not strictly a QI issue but I hope someone has been through this before with the iP4500 and might be able to help!

Regards

John

Sorry, this should really have gone to the "printers" section above. I'll put it there now ::)
