Title: Challenge #10 Your Personal Calendar Post by: Fred A on April 21, 2013, 12:38:58 PM OK, Make your own personalized Calendar! That's right! Place a different image on the page for each month; change the background color, change the number colors; Personalize!! Hint! CUSTOM, Prints per page, 7 x 5. Hint! There are only 7 possible location variations for the dates, so if you save your "job", you can simply slide the numbers around into the proper locations for the next month, and save the job. See Screen snap 119 There is one intentional error in the sample image. If you can find it, First Three, win a FREE lunch with Mike Chaney in Sarasota, Fl. ??? If you cannot find it, I will add the correction during the afternoon. HAVE FUN with your Qimage Ultimate!! Fred I hope everyone knows to enlarge the the little image with a mouse click! Fred Title: Re: Challenge #10 Your Personal Calendar Post by: Terry-M on April 26, 2013, 09:55:59 AM Here is my effort.
I made the Month table image with the days of the week in Serif Page Plus (DTP program). The dates were added in QU with floating text, one row for each week. Terry Title: Re: Challenge #10 Your Personal Calendar Post by: DdeGannes on April 26, 2013, 11:11:10 AM Terry you need to add 31st for October. ;)

Title: Re: Challenge #10 Your Personal Calendar Post by: Terry-M on February 09, 2014, 03:56:37 PM Hi Paul,
I'm please to hear you have been challenged ;) I made the image using Print to File, steps as follows. First you need some images of a plain colour to make the rectangle for each day. You can do this in QU by printing to file: Set up PTF with a suitable page size and resolution to make and image say of ~ 2000pixels, sRGB Make the page background the colour required and add the template from any folder - this enables the page to print as a blank, the template will not show. To make the calender: Set up PTF with a suitable page size and resolution, see screen shot below. Make a Custom image size of 6 rows and 7 columns per page, crop on. I added a thin B type border Add the plain colour images in sequence, top right to bottom left, using the plain colour images as required. Open the page editor and add the days of the week as floating text, see screen shot for settings I used. Finished result as 3rd screen shot. Print to file and save with a suitable name. If anything is not clear, please ask again. Terry Title: Re: Challenge #10 Your Personal Calendar Post by: Fred A on February 09, 2014, 07:42:21 PM Forgive me, but Terry's calendar is far nicer than mine, but for the sake of learning, I will present my simple recipe.
So... Start with 7 x 5 page landscape 1) type in the number 31 in the copies box above the thumbs. 2) Open Print properties, Custom, Number of prints per page, and set to 7 columns and 5 rows; say OK 3) Select a color for the background, I used a gold image for the background color for this demo....add a very thin border so you can see better (0.01) Click the + sign of the thumbnail. 31 boxes for the days. (Reset copies back to 1) Go to Print to FILE and print. 4) Set screen back to normal at 8.5 x 11 paper, with Optimal Spaced and Fit to page. 5 Go to the last thumbnail which is a template. Set that size to 5 x 7 and add two templates. 6) Now drag the saved print to file of the squares to the lower Template, and drag a nice picture to the upper one. 7) Open the Page editor and go Crazy with floating text. see attached 063 Fred |
