Yes, it's time to make that flyer for the next event!

Suppose you had rooms to rent!   Summertime - Tourists are coming into town for splashing fun!

Make your own flyers: Cheaply!
Get a ream of paper for 5 dollars. Want glossy flyers? 100 sheets for 20.00.  Best price for having them made for you......

     Qty    Price

     25    $25.00
     50    $40.00      Plus shipping
     100    $70.00

Put your Qimage Ultimate to work for you.
Now that you see what you can do with all the new features!!

Freehand Mode; put a template on the page; put a picture in the template; place some floating text in there, Viola! A FLYER

Above we described advertising your rooms to rent.

You might be the secretary of your local club or organization.
Save money. Get your flyers out using Ultimate!!!

Save Money, Make Flyers, Have Fun

Of course, perfect!

As soon as Jeff collects for his Free Seminar talk, and SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) takes the money and goes shopping, if  there's any left over money, Jeff will buy tickets to your event!

Hello Fred and all.

Does this qualify?

A few times a year various groups we belong too have a meal at the local Lincoln College Catering Restaurant where meals are prepared and served by the students.

I get the job of creating a Menu for each person attending with their exact choices.

I have always used a Word Processor, - Open Office, but thought I would get a bit more creative and use QU and gloss paper (£1 for 12 sheets from the local Pound Shop, quite good paper for this kind of job)

I Found the placement of the individual graphics and text much easier in Qu.

I have a prog 'PhiMatrix'  http://www.phimatrix.com/  which I use to place a Phigrid/1.618 over image and placing the elements and text to this grid is a doddle with QU
The header graphics were created using  http://cooltext.com/ they come with a transparent backgound.
The two Gascogne shields were .png I had to put them through Elements 4 and convert to transparent .giffs

I have about 15 or so menus to provide, all the same except for the person name and actual menu chosen.

I have the base layout saved as a job. But so far have been unable to get this job repeated 15 times in the queue so that all can be created and printed at one go.
That is not an insuperable problem, it is very quick job to just change the name and menu and print each one individually , but it would be nice to have all in the queue at once for checking/proof reading.

Critical comment please.

I love it Jeff!
Great idea and a good job.

To get them all in the queue to print in one session, as you complete one, Print to FILE
Put that ON DECK.
Then change the text for the next one, Print to FILE.
Now you have two in the specially created folder called Qprints.
Keep going!
You can either put them all ON DECK, or just switch to the Q prints folder and print.

Fred

Now got the job all finished and printed.

In the end I amended each one and saved as a Job No. 1 / 2 / 3/ and so on.

Then when all checked and ready to print just called up each one one at a time whilst previous one was printing.
After the event I will delete all jobs except the main template.

Now creating the next event.

Thanks for your inspiration

Jeff

Another demo of what is possible with QU

Simple flyer just images on one page, all the rest is Floating Text and created on the fly and easily edited and fined up.
Each version is saved as a job so past versions can be opened up for comparison etc
I use a grid overlay to aid formatting - Phi Matrix - http://www.phimatrix.com/
I then print to file from where I can do anything with it.
Hope link works OK

Jeff
