Title: Challenge #43-How Quick are you, Set up to print.
Post by: Fred A on April 17, 2015, 10:23:54 AM
OK time to Print on your favorite paper

(I'd really like to get this right the first try, and not have to do it over and see what I set wrong!!!!)
Let's see, I need the right profile, paper type selection, quality setting, color setting, paper size selection, ....

Oh, no problem. I use Qimage Ultimate.
I can set up in under ten seconds, and even better change my mind and reset to a different paper in under 5 seconds...
and never make a mistake or forget to set something.
How?
See the attached video  (Remember to click on the little Gear Wheel to set video to 1080p in the Youtube Player)

Have fun,

Why was that? Is that CIS system you have still causing problems? - you could dump it  :o

In a word yes,

Dump it is the next up for consideration.

Question is, how long before Epson market a full blown photo printer with a CIS ?  they have a general purpose one with three colour inks.

Trouble is we are too old to wait and see, eg we now only purchase ripe bananas :)

Fired up printer yesterday, immediately ran into trouble.

Nozzle check indicated a problem with a couple of colours,
A couple of unclogs did not improve things
A head clean resulted in all Blue blocked.
Unclog with blue only was a failure (it printed red and orange) and now all heads in trouble.
Another head clean and everything now perfect.

Did a very good print on cheap Pola paper from Poundland.

Still did not achieve Freds 5 second standard.

Life gets kinda tedious, don,t it?
