Image too dark?  Need to make it lighter?

So we are out shooting, and the scenery and subject matter look great, but the camera is faced with a complex group of considerations.
The sky is very bright.
The foreground is very dark.
The subject might have too much of either.

If we shoot in Raw mode, we have an excellent chance of smoothing the complex lighting anomalies.
If we have a JPG, we have to rely on (in Qimage Ultimate) our tools in the editor.  i.e.  Brightness or Fill
Many times, even with a Raw image I touch it up using my Brightness or Fill tools in the editor.

There is a difference between Brightness and Fill
In this video you will see how to lighten and hold contrast
You can also reverse that for images that need more contrast... (using a minus Fill)
Please click on the video link and remember to click Full Screen when you play it for HD.

Thank you and enjoy,
