I love using QI for it’s excellent printing and layout features.

What I do not need is it’s saving images, print jobs, etc.
My images are already saved before printing and I can get them easily if I had to print again.

Do  not need QI to keep track of this for me.
That folder gets large over time and I’d imagine most users, do not even know it exist.

Realize it is useful for some ... but we all have different workflows.

So hoping you can implement some type of toggle for those that do not need or
want those extra files being saved.

Thanks

I think the preference you want is already there.  See Edit>Preferences>Job Logging.
As to images, QU doesn't save anything that you don't tell it to save so not sure exactly what you are getting at there.

In addition to what Mel said...

Qimage also doesn't save images in jobs: your images are already there so job files are just pointers to already existing images with a few KB of settings.  It would take decades for the job log folder to accumulate any size that would be impactful to your storage.

Will turning off " Job Logging" stop those folders from being created in the folders I showed in the images attached in above example ?

No.  Those are export folders, not print jobs.  Those are needed because they are copies sent from other software.  You manage those by occasionally running the "Manage Disk Usage" function under the "Utilities" menu on the main window.

One last quick word on disk space.  In addition to automated job log, I have save every job, session, printer setup, layout and album that I have ever used since 2005 (around 20,000 items more or less) and the total disk space used for them is about 75 MB.

Wow ... thanks for the info.

I'm realizing now that it's the export ( using as plugin from PS ) that really adds the large file / folder sizes.
I can work around that.
