Look at Mike's filter 'Lens Cleaner'.
Hi Jana,
Tony is correct. That was a 10/80 DFS sharpening filter.
That was placed there in response to a slider called "Clarifier" years ago.
That's all that clarifier did years ago.
That is the the large radius, low percentage DFS that Fred mentioned.
Terry
Terry is right on target too.
You can see that the "Clarity" slider also incorporates some color boost in it.
The point is that no two images are exactly alike, and it's extra nice to be able to adjust the sharpening as needed by the image, and adjust the amount of color boost (different for each color) as needed by the image!!
Qimage actually reads the color intensity of each color before it applies any boost so no color will be "blown" from a boost.
... to carry this a step further, Look at the screen snaps of the control you get with Qimage.
067 is a shot of a lady in the park just before sunrise.
068 applies Smart Color
069 (see white arrow) shows you where you can raise or lower the brightness of the colors; all colors at the same rate, or use the smaller arrows to adjust individual colors.
Glad to help.
Fred
