Hello all,

I needed this feature for ages but I constantly forgot to ask about.
I use many different Printer setups (I use large format Canon ipf 8300) which are saved in Recall-Printer setups. It saves all the setups found in "Job properties" except "Edges" which led me  into problems more than once.I use  Edges almost exclusively but there are rare cases when I don't, especially on cut sheet jobs. When I then Recall a saved setup I constantly forget to check back Edges (because I rarely disable them).
For me this would be a welcome addition.

Thank you,
Silviu

The Edges option is considered a "true" job property so it saves with jobs, not printer setups.  Years ago when I saved the Edges parameter with printer setups, people complained that when they just wanted to load a printer setup for "Canon Photo Paper Pro", they were surprised when the Edges got activated automatically and they got "unintended edge markings": obviously they saved it that way and just forgot.  They just wanted the printer setup that included the driver settings and print quality related settings like res, sharpening, paper type, profile, etc..

So I guess this request could go either way.  But, you can do it either way as it is.  If you want the Edges saved, just save a job instead of a printer setup.  You can save a job with nothing in the queue and it automatically knows that you just want to save all job "Settings".  Then when you recall that "job", it recalls everything about the job instead of just the printer related stuff.

Regards,
Mike
