Seriously, new is always fun and can't wait to see it! Title: Re: 2025 Post by: admin on October 25, 2024, 10:36:16 PM You mean I'm going to get 42 printers? :D I mean... I'm only really using 2 so I could give you 40 if you like. The drivers anyway. ;) Mike Title: Re: 2025 - number of printers Post by: Gerry on October 27, 2024, 05:33:31 PM Printers include each driver variety of each printer (network attached, USB, Canon XPS, etc)
PLUS all the PDF or other software drivers such as Foxit PDF, Evernote, Microsoft XPS document writer, One Note, pdf Factory, Snagit, FinePrint, etc. are defined as printers. So even if you only have 1 physical printer, you can have many defined as "printers" by the operating system. I have 2 physical printers, each with a network and USB connection, and with software "printers" 17 printers in all are defined in my system and Qimage finds them all. Title: Re: 2025 Post by: msadat on October 29, 2024, 08:23:27 PM it is now very very clear why the unclog functionality was added to qimage! By the way this was the slowest year ever since I have owned qimage, only one update. i am hoping you have cooked up something nice for us.
Title: Re: 2025 Post by: msadat on October 31, 2024, 06:58:45 PM is it possible to tap into the GPU via OpenCL to speed up the displaying images, files are getting bigger and bigger, when you load multiple images into qimage (let's say from Fuji 100s or Sony 7rv) it takes time to move from one image to another in the editor or when you try to crop
Title: Re: 2025 Post by: admin on October 31, 2024, 10:24:13 PM is it possible to tap into the GPU via OpenCL to speed up the displaying images, files are getting bigger and bigger, when you load multiple images into qimage (let's say from Fuji 100s or Sony 7rv) it takes time to move from one image to another in the editor or when you try to crop No. That's more suited for video and 3D modeling. I presume you are talking about raw photos since those have to be developed and take more time: those are not suited for GPU processing. https://share.icloud.com/photos/08flrJMVyQOQahZLePdI49pUA is there a way to speed this up, thx Title: Re: 2025 Post by: admin on November 01, 2024, 12:57:17 AM Oh, you are talking about the page editor. That should load almost instantly. If it doesn't, you have the "View" set to "All Images", "Soft Proof", etc. Click on the Layout tab and set "View" to "Thumbs/Small Images" (see attached) because you don't need full resolution for the layout.
