Hopefully an easily answered question, but one I have never found. How do I cancel a print Queue from inside Qimage Ultimate. I always go out to Windows devices and cancel it from there. But surely there is a way to do it in QU. TIAdvance.
Another question. I have just updated my PC to a new one running W10 (I was on W7 previously). I seem to have lost my personal print sizes that I consistently use. There are only a handful, but I don't seem to be able to add them to the Prints List. I go to Prints/Custom, fill in Specific Size, click on Permanent and then Click OK. But it does not appear in the Print list as a new size. Where am I going wrong. It used to work on my W7 machine.

The easy one first.
I think you are remembering something from some other job.
The right way, and the only way I know to do and work from what you want, is to right click on any size in the print size list. Then select what you want.
Make a new special size to add to the list, or replace a size in the list/  make a separate set of personal sizes and save them to be called upon what needed... etc etc etc.

See snaps

This a tough one for me. If the print is cooking in Qimage you can click on the red X to cancel.
I agree. I have been dancing with this for years.

Here's how I do it, (although your method is fine).
I have a tiny .cmd file that I activate from my desktop. It clears the spooler by stopping it, clearing it, and restarting the spooler. It takes 2 seconds.
I made a desktop icon to click. You can put it anywhere.
The only caveat is that you must run it as ADMINISTRATOR
If you right click it, select run as administrator. But when I made the desktop icon, it set that up for me.  So when I click the shortct, it runs it as the administrator.
See if this is any help.

Thanks for replying Fred. I hope you are well after the nasty weather you have experienced recently.
Your method seems fine. But I am surprised this isn't incorporated into Qimage. I seem to need it quite often. eg I start to print a 20x16" print  that will have white around it and not have a mount. Then as it starts I suddenly realise that I have Print Info, File+Extension still set to On as my rpevious test prinst used it. Or I put an A4 in my printer instead of an A2. Or perhaps I'm just printing the wrong version of a file. The paper I use is expensive as is the ink. :-(

As for the personal print sizes. As usual you have cracked my problem. R/Click on a size.
Life saver, thanks again Fred

Thanks for the good wishes. (Luckily, the real bad weather in on the TV as they like to create a panic wherever they can, even going so far as to show hurricanes form years ago and other cities and other states.) We barely got a rain shower for an hour.

All your examples of printing faux pas gave me a big smile. It was as if I was reading from my own diary.
Sometimes I can hit a button on the printer and it will eject the print, but that still leaves it in the spooler queue.
Were you able to download the file? Just a click and you get a menu to save file?

Anyway, stay well and again thanks.

Qimage actually does have a way to clear the spooler but it's not working in 2020.101 due to a Windows update which changed permissions for that feature.  It will be fixed in 2020.102:

(1) If Qimage is in the middle of processing your job, you can click the cancel printing button top right (printer with red X button).
(2) If processing is complete and the printer is still printing, the job is still in the Windows queue: proceed to next step.
(3) If Qimage is not processing a job but that cancel button is still active, it means there are still jobs in the Windows queue: click it at that point to clear the Windows job queue.

The above instructions will work in the just-released 2020.102.

Thanks Mike. I will download 102 and give it a try. There is another associated problem I have, but it is not an Image fault. I have Googled it and others say it is a Windows bug. That is when an Epson Status Monitor window appears on the screen when printing from Q, it is impossible to get rid it of by clicking on Close or the red 'X' top right button. The only way is to press CTRL/Alt Delete and go into Task Manager and kill it there. If I could have a £ for each time I have done that, I would be a rich(er) man! :-)

Jules,
I have a few Epson drivers in my computer, and I seem to have success stopping the status monitor from popping up by opening the driver from Qimage, clicking on the Utility tab, and clicking on Monitor Preferences.
Then I unchecked all of the items selected to be reported.
See if that helps.
