I sent this message to Mike a couple of days ago but he must be busy so I will also ask here:

I've used the program for many many years and never had problems till now.

I am trying to print two 5X5 images with .25 borders on one row at the top of 13 X 19 paper. I've done this before.

No matter what I do these images print at about 3.0 X 3.0 with a .25 outside border.

Everything looks fine including print preview and all settings. The custom size specs in the properties for each photo appear correct.

When I go to page layout, the paper size is correct and the individual prints show at the 5.5 X 5.5 size.

When I do a print preview via the printer driver everything looks fine - but the prints come out too small.

Do you have tips I can use for trouble shooting?

Not that it should matter but I am running QImage Ultimate under VMware Fusion on my Mac. Windows 7. QImage Build V2015.118

I am printing to an Epson Photo R2000, using custom print profiles from Red River. The only thing I've done recently is to calibrate my monitor under Windows with an i1Display Pro.

As I said I've had no problems till now.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Linda,
I  have ywo places to check.
I have an R2000 also so I can show the exact driver screen I want you to check.

The other place to check would be how are you adding your border?
In Add mode or shrink mode?

First of all see is showing the Create a mat/border screen snaps.
109 is showing your mat/border screen with the GROW button selected.
That keeps the image size as 5.0 x 5.0 and the .25 is added.

110 i showing the two images side by side.
111 is showing you that the size box has the size of the 5 inch print plus two sides of .25, = 5.50
112 is showing the Print Queue where you see what Qimage is sending to the printer.

In the event that you are using the old border routine, Make sure you selected B+
Also make sure the crop scissor is on.
Let me know if you are OK with this information.
Last thing to check if it still messes up the size, go to the print driver /Print setup. Click the properties button, and the the layout tab./
NO checkmarks in scale, enlarge, or anything.
Also where it says PAPER SIZE it says 13 x 19.
OUTPUT PAPER must say SAME as PAPER SIZE.

Hi Fred -

I was using the old border+ feature and have not explored the mat feature at all.

I deleted the border and used the mat feature and all is well. I'm thinking that old border method could be retired - it will be for me for sure.

My printer driver was also set to "reduce/enlarge". Not sure how that happened. Good catch.

Thanks so much for your help! When I switched to a Mac environment, my only caveat was having the ability to use QImage - thus the use of an emulation program (Fusion).

Once in awhile I'll see if Lightroom or Photoshop have improved the printing process and come away horrified. I love each of them for organizing and editing but I don't know that anything would ever get printed around here if it not for QImage.

Have a good evening and thanks again for your guidance.
