Title: Borders B+
Post by: silviuv on March 11, 2014, 10:54:28 AM
Hi experts,

Since v2014.135 ( I'm not really sure about that) borders behavior has changed and I don't know how to address that.
If I want to set a custom size and I set let's say the short side to x"(letting the long side to calculate itself) and then I go to B+ and chose y" the final print size is no longer x"+ y" but x" like in B setting.
This is a major drawback for me and I will appreciate any help I can get.

Thank you,
Silviu

Hi Silviu,
Your attachments were not visible but I checked what you did and, yes I got the same effect.

But did you notice that the short dimension remained the same when you moved from B+ to B but the long dimension changed as did the aspect ratio?
This maybe what it is designed to do; when it says "Specify one dimension, calculate the other" QU is doing exactly that with the border included.
It may be this is a little bug, but we'll ask Mike to find out.
In the mean time you'll have to specify both dimensions.

Thank you much, Terry for your quick response.I did't attach any file, maybe I hit the wrong button by mistake.
This new behavior was not announced and I bet it's a bug.

Regards,
Silviu

Thanks for the info.  It is a bug that has been around since 2014.121 related to a fix for using B+ borders with fit-to-page sizing.  I've corrected it and will include the fix in the next release.

Sorry, but can't open either of the files.  Also, it seems no data in them.
