Title: Borders/frames around several images on the same paper sheet
Post by: Fred on November 22, 2020, 04:39:49 PM
Hi
If, for example, there were two 7 x 5 images (or a mixed sized set of prints) on an A4 sheet ready to print, how can a border/frame be added around each?
Obviously, this would either increase the images size or be on top of the image to keep the image dimensions the same
Unfortunately, I have so far been unable to find this if it is already demonstrated in one of the available instruction videos, but any pointers much appreciated
Thank you

OK, Can help. Easy Peasy.
There are two ways to do this. Depends more on what your intention is; all borders the same thickness all around? Also how many borders; more than 2?

Lets take a 5 x7 or two... The first thing is to select the one that is to get borders. If both, then select both clicking on each with CTRL key down. I then click on the Prints tab where you can select sizes, and toward the bottom; Borders.

As you can see, I have two borders, a skinny white .03, and a thicker black .09. One button says Inner border, one says outer.
Select the color, type in the thickness, and then........ it lets you choose: B or B+.
B means borders around the image keeping it all at 5 x 7.   The B+ means keeping image at 5 x 7 and adding borders to that.

If you want a more complex approach, use mats instead

I am here doing nothing, so ask more if you need clarification.

Thank you, it looks as though you have provided a swift and fulsome response, knew it was easy for those who knew 😊
When I can get a minute, I’ll have a play and use what you have explained
Thanks again, stay safe

You are welcome.
The video link takes you to Mats, which is like borders but more versatile.
I have my Qimage set to add those 2 borders to each image automatically.

Have fun
