Hi all,

Last month we had a server crash and had to rebuild. After getting the machines back up and running, I have found that I'm getting an error message from QU when I open it that won't go away (the program was open when we had the crash).

"Qimage was not shut down properly last session. Since you are running Windows 7, please be sure your Windows default printer has been updated to the latest
Win7 compatible driver. Incompatible printer drivers can cause lockups/crashes.

How would you like to start this session?

Two buttom appear: Normal and Reset"

Pressing either button will get me into QU but will not make the message disappear. All three of my printers are current on drivers, so that's not the issue.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sherie

Sherie,
Try the HELP in Qimage, and then RESET ALL

Tried it, Fred, but I'm still getting the message. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

You didn't report that Qimage was asking if you want to see the tutorial, or asking if you want the thumbs rebuilt.
If you didn't see the screen for the tutorial, it might be because the ini files are corrupt.
Did you do a fresh install or copy over files?

I suggest that you go into C:\ProgramData\ddisoftware\Qimage   and delete the Qimage.ini for Ultimate, and Qimagepr.ini
That will cause Qimage Ultimate to create *new* ini files.
There are more ini files, but I believe these two are the pertinent ones.

Qimage didn't ask me if I wanted the thumbs rebuilt or if I wanted to see the tutorial.

When we connected the computers to the new server, we didn't have to reinstall any programs. All my other programs work just as before; even the ones that were open when the crash occurred.

I deleted the two ini files and it's still coming up with the error message. I'll probably have to reinstall the program new when I have the chance - I was just hoping there was a quick and easy fix to this.

Thanks for your help,
Sherie
