Why when I have cropping set at 13x17.5 and Print Properties set the same for a 13x19 paper on a Canon Pro 100, Qimage keeps changing the print size to 12.69x18.70. The 12.69 I understand is to allow for a border, but why 18.70, not 17.50?

I have the driver selected to None in the Canon Printer Page Setup and Enabled set in the Qimage Color Management.

Anyone have any idea why it keeps changing my settings?

Thanks

Well I guess I figured it out.

When the "Selected Print Size is larger one page, Do you want prints to span multiple pages?" message comes up (which doesn't make sense, as my print is smaller than 13x19) I had been selecting NO. But when I select Yes, the print sizes to 13 x 17.50, as shown when I  pass the cursor over the image.

Go figure!  Perhaps a bug.

The printable area of 13 x 19 paper on the Canon drivers that I have is 12.685 x 18.70.
Unless you invoke borderless, that is the largest print that will fit. Look above the preview panel, upper right.
If you want to fill the paper, use FIT TO PAGE.

If you ask for a 13" inch wide print, it will not fit in a 12.685 space.
So Qimage gives you a choice, use more sheets of paper, or fit to page.

Thank you for your reply Fred.

It seems it will only fit the 13x17.5 image to the 13x19 page after I tell it to print to multiple pages.

Is that right?

If I select the Fit to Page button after I set 13x17.5 as a custom print size, nothing happens.

First snap... Qimage says:This is the best I can do and keep one sheet and your size request.

Second snap   OK If you must have that size. I will need 2 sheets of paper to print the difference between 12.685 (Max printable width for that size paper) and 13.0 inches that you requested.
See little red 1x2

Snaps 30 and 031 (following post) show the difference between before, "Fit to page" and after I select Fit to Page.
