Title: Canon PRO-100 Unclog Job Color Settings Post by: JustGeorge on December 04, 2020, 03:22:59 AM Okay, I confess, it's been a while since I printed on the PRO-100. It was this year, but that's all I'll say! ;D
I decided to run a purge sheet as my first print, just-in-case. It's been even longer since I've run an Unclog Job. When I saw the dialogue box, I got so confused, I couldn't even find the "rear" paper tray (doncha hate that when it happens?). The attached screen shot shows the colors in the QU dialogue and the Canon ink levels/details windows. I left all the colors checked, ran the job, all seems well, i.e. no smoke came out of the printer, the test page looked fine. So for a complete Unclog Job, what colors do I check for the PRO-100? Hi George, Never panic. You always have help here. I have to agree with you on the REAR TRAY feed being called Rear Tray. Confused me until I decided to ignore them. The feed for the paper is actually the forward most slot. The rear feed slot, way in the back is for feeding very special thick paper that doesn't like to bend through rollers. Unclog job. You did it right. A check for each cartridge color plus a green which we don't have. (Why not check it?) The only point to consider would be the Glossy black clean, and the Matte Black clean. This printer uses Dye ink with only one type of black. So one cycle cleans all. If you have a printer that uses two blacks, a Matte and a PK black for other papers, then you set up two routines. Telling QU that you are using Glossy, and another, telling QU that you are using Matte paper. That will force both blacks to be exercised. Hope that helps. The time stamp on your reply says 3:18a.m. And you were coherent anyway! Impressive. Thanks again. |
