Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Season's Greetings to all contributors to these unbelievably helpful boards.

Having been out of town for about half of November, I still have many photo note cards to print before Christmas.  Thanks again for showing me how it's done, Terry.  These make great gifts, and all the recipients think I'm a genius!

I am ashamed to say that that is Elements 7

I have all sorts of text on separate layers, I can then make one PSD file suit all.   The last layer of the base image is a copy layer in Multiply probably about 10 to 15% transparency.  That gives a controllable darker blue sky and is what is making the flowers pop out. If you take out the flowers the blue I think the blue is too dark.

But, all the image processing was Ultimate exclusive.  I took quite a few snow shots and I must say they are the best snow shots I have done.
I generally took a shot on program, checked the monitor and if there was any blow highlights ( camera is set to show blown areas) I noted the exposure and then went into manual and adjusted the stop until there were now blown highlights. Then 'ULTIMATED' (Fred will like that Smiley and adjusted the fill to bring out the shadows.

I am right chuffed with my self.

Just for the halibut ('tis the season and all that), an example of the note cards I produce with Qimage, thanks to Terry's greeting-card thread of more than a year ago.  I sell a few of these in a local specialty shop, but produce these mainly for gifts to friends & family.  This one I shot on the relative's very pretty rural property about a year ago.  In another case, my nephew's wife (a talented decorator & designer) has a very elaborate flower garden.  Easy as pie to shoot a few photos and turn them into note cards for holiday gifts.  Very personal gifts, in other words.

Final size is 5½x8½, printed on pre-scored cardstock the same size.  Matte finish, but coated for inkjet printing.  Formatted entirely in Qimage.  Just fold, package with matching envelopes, and you're done--and you never had to go NEAR the mall!
