Connecting to Mac from PC
«

Hi there,
I'm running Windows 7 for QImage and my iPF8300 only. I run the rest of my studio on Macs, I'm able to connect to my Mac in the explorer in windows but when I try to navigate that same route in the file tree in QImage it doesn't exist. I've tried renewing and rebuilding the thumbs etc. I'm dumb when it comes to PC.
Thanks for any help.

Try F5 on the PC with the Folders panel open in Qimage, and ideally, something selected if visible.
F5 is standard Windows for refreshing a folder tree.

Thanks Terry,
F5 is the shortcut key for rebuilding thumbs, which I've tried. I don't know if it's because I'm connected to the Mac via afp or not.

An update.
I still can't navigate to the Mac in Qimage explorer but I can in Windows7 explorer. However, I found that I can drag images from the explorer onto the que and then re-size them from there.

Also for the folder tree too when that is active - something selected. But if you can't see anything to select, it's not much use

I've clicked on the network icon and refreshed that, well, I've tried refreshing just about everything. This is driving me crazy!

You need another Mac user to come in on this; there are some on this forum.

Hi Ryan,
Maybe do a search on the net for something like 'file sharing mac pc'. I know nothing about Macs, it may be complicated, but a search brings up stuff like
http://www.techradar.com/news/software/operating-systems/guide-to-mac-os-x-file-sharing-934550
which may give you a clue.
Instead of navigating the qimage file tree, can you get to the folder by typing in the full path name in qi?
Best wishes,
Ray

Thanks Ray,
I can paste the address into qimage and it loads that folder, but it doesn't show up in the tree. There should be a better way! I don't think it's a pc/mac thing because the pc can see the mac just fine, just not qimage.
