Title: Converting a .job to a .jpg or .tiff
Post by: Liz Z. on January 22, 2017, 01:37:03 AM
Hi--

I created a triptych of images for a poster and a friend asked if I could send her a digital version. She doesn't have Qimage, so I wonder if there is a way to convert a .job (which seems to have several associated files?) into a single .jpg or .tiff file (without my having to write complicated code to make it happen)?

I had the idea that Print to File might do this, but I don't even know where to find whatever file gets created using that command. Where is it?

Thanks for any help.

Liz

Yes that is the way to do it.
Recall the job either from a saved job or the automated job log.
In the settings tab, right click on the Properties button to button to change to print to file, a dialogue will appear.
Use "Don't Change Print Size" tick box.
Set the resolution and colour space etc. OK.
Click the print button, choose the files type and I suggest you use User Naming.
Do NOT tick the RIP individual prints box.
OK and browse to your desired output folder and enter a file name and Save.
QU will then generate the file.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Terry! I never would have figured this out in a million years. Worked perfectly.
