Title: Crashing
Post by: BackdropJunction on May 21, 2011, 11:02:57 AM
Hey guys,

I am trying to start QImage in Paralells.  I just downloaded the paid version.  I used the trial version to print some really long prints 25 ft.  Each time I try to start QI now it crashes as I am opening files.  I mean I am selecting a folder from the bar a ttop left and waiting for the thumbnail previews to appear.  The files in the folder are all saved as Windows TIFF files and this mthod worked fine when using the trial version.

Any ideas?

Also.  I had some issues with file size previously when using the trial version.  So what I would like to try is to have taken the original full size image from Photoshop, reduced it smaller, then use QI to enlarge it back to the size I need.  I know multiple size changes are not good but I don't see how else to do it.  My images have to be a certain size as objects in the image have to be a certain size to match the scale the modeler is using the image for.  Therefore I have to work with the image at full size in order to verify everything is scaled accurately.

I know size is really not real and its all about pixels but I am still pretty new at this so I'm learning.

Thanks

I went ahead and played with some jpegs of other stuff and everything was working just fine.  It wasn't until I opened this folder that the program crashed.
