Hey guys,

I've had a look through the manual but couldn't find anything but does anyone know if there is a date/time stamp feature on Q. Would be really handy to have that stamped on each print automatically.

Hi Jamie,
yes there is, it's in the image editor - double click a thumbnail to access.
The Info Stamp can put various information onto the image as a filter.
See screen shots attached below including an example.
If you apply that one item to an image and then save the filter as, say, "date stamp", you can select a batch of thumbs or a set of images in the queue, right mouse button and choose Predefined Filter, browse to the "date stamp" item and it will be applied to all the selected images.

I forgot to say that you must also click "Apply" in the Editor for you to see the result there.

The other, completely flexible way to to add data to a PRINT is to use the Page Editor where various image related information and free text can be added.
NB. this is by print so is not retained next time you print the image - it can be by making a print template but that's another great feature.

Thought there must be a way of doing it, I'm currently doing a bunch of canvas prints for an exhibition and along with the other single orders it's getting to be a bit hectic. 24 hours to dry for each print and then another 24 hours for the varnish to set, of course a good old pencil has served me well for now. Anyway, I'm gradually working my way through them. Thanks again, I'll have a look at that for the next lot.

So I've tried out the date stamp filter which works like a charm except the date and time are all wrong. I printed something last night at about 8 and the date stamp printed 12:13 or there abouts and the date was some time in May. Does anyone know where qimage gets its date and time info from, windows is correct so obviously not from there.

It's the exif date from the image. The dialogue does say "Image Information". We did not realise you wanted print date.naive is
The alternative is manual entry using floating text in the Page Editor.

It is not as bad as it sounds  :o
If you have several images in the queue, you can enter the floating text on the first and use "Link To - all prints in the queue" and the text will then appear on every print.  8)

If the prints are different sizes, will Qimage place the text in the same relative position (i.e. lower right corner) on each print?

No, when I tried it with different sizes. It's a simple matter to re-position for each image.
I think Jamie, the original poster, was doing a set of all the same size.
