Title: Do I like Ultimate?
Post by: mburke on September 05, 2010, 05:23:27 PM
Just a few reasons this is the best software for the buck I have ever seen.

This weekend my granddaughter asked me to take her graduation pictures. Not something I really like to do because I do mostly landscapes and various things my wife likes to paint. Anyway, I had 130 pictures that I culled, used some negative exsposure, converted to jpg. Set my page size to 24x24, picked 2x3 picture size, selected all and hit prints. Great proof sheet for them to decide from 71 pictures. Took hardly any time.

My wife wanted an 18x34 canvas print of a waterfall. Took more time to change the roll paper than to resize and position.

I can change paper, profiles, sizes and do some editing in Qimage...all for 90 bucks. If I get stuck this forum is all the help I need.

I don't use all the features, but the ones I do save me tons of time, paper, and anger. I use Capture NX2 with Nik filters and do all my printing in Qimage. I also use Qimage for the resizing, to save paper, to do quick edits on the entire picture, add text, make cards, use some templates, add copyright, and more.

The updates are quick and painless. No uninstalling, fiddling with settings, interference with other programs, small footprint.

Thanks Mike, Fred, Terry, and everyone else that contributes here.

As I said  - BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK..

Mike

You're quite welcome,,, and now try doing your RAWs in Qimage and getting the 'hang' of a set of features that will put you over the moon.
Fred

Terry to follow, I'm sure!

Mike,

Thanks for the feedback!  Always good to hear how people are using Qimage Ultimate and that I make some contribution to their work/hobby.

Regards,
Mike (the other Mike)  :)
