Title: Drag & drop from explorer stopped working Post by: pblomx on October 28, 2015, 11:49:48 AM Hi Mike and staff,
I've just updated my QIU from an 'old' 2014 version to latest 2016.125 - and now facing a very serious issue. Before updating I just dragged the TIFF from Windows' libraries to QIU, and then defined the size, I wished to print. Now that option has gone missing, and QIU instead just changes the folder within, and generates thumbnails. That is waaaaaay to slow for my usual workflow, and furthermore it generates a heavy usage on the hardware, due to the large TIFF files. I've tried to uninstall the 2016.125 completely, and re-install = still not working. Should I roll back to an old 2014 version, or what solution do you recommend? As it is now, I can't QIU at all, which bothers me! >:( :( ??? Thanks in advance! Regards from Denmark, Patrick, photographer. Well, thank you very much Fred! I actually believed that every single option in the preferences menu already HAD been turned, but I guess it's something about not having the right lenses in my eyes today ;) Thanks again for snappy and precise support :) Title: Re: Drag & drop from explorer stopped working Post by: Fred A on October 28, 2015, 12:29:35 PM Anytime.
I never drag and drop unless I am very tired when I come home. So I didn't remember either. Fred Title: Re: Drag & drop from explorer stopped working Post by: Fred A on October 28, 2015, 12:56:41 PM Patrick,
It just occurred to me that you might not be aware of the HOT FOLDER feature in Qimage Ultimate. You drop or paste your images into the hot folder in the appropriate size sub folder. In Qimage you make sure Hot Folder is turned on and it will have the images appear in the queue at teh sizes that you dropped them in. Fred |
