Hello

Further to recent enhancements

Is it possible to have a save/recall feature in FC Copy/Move

After a shoot I put all images into a 120Gig SSD image working disk with a folder name beginning with a numerical, and back up copies to two external SATA's

After working on images in the working disk they then require backing up to the back up disks.

If there was a save/recall feature subsequent back ups would be much quicker by just calling up the job and rerunning. Also being able to run the back up to the two disks at once go would be a bonus.

screen shot below

Jeff

Hi Jeff,
Sorry for the delay.
My computer went belly up, and I thought Terry was around to cover.
I am using MY WIFE'S computer after much groveling on my part.

OK The answer is YES, it's already there.

With the SOURCE file selected (as you already show), Click FILE and select the top one: Update Send Source files to a destination folder.
Now when the box opens, select the destination...
It copies everything.
Hope this helps.
By the way, I use it for all the folders that I want to duplicate the contents, doesn't have to be pictures.

Thanks Fred,

I will have to return to this one later.

Having big printer trouble, and am trying to get a handle of what's causing a bad magenta cast.

Blocked jets is the usual cause, have you done a nozzle check?

I think it is more complex than just the jets. I have done many checks and cleans, I get the same problem when the jets are showing OK. and problem only appears to only apply to custom profiles.

I want to do more tests before I post a definite request for help, basically I can only get a decent print using the 'Epson manage colours'.  I am doing constant tests and creating new profiles but so far Epson always does best.

After more tests I will get my thoughts in order and if I cannot resolve problem I will formally ask for help and create a new thread  I need a sensible coherent problem description.

This puts the profiles under suspicion, how were the custom profiles made?

Hello Fred

Having a rest from printer problem.
To return to FC.

OK that's what I do - but after I have 'backed up' a particular folder say 0195 and then a couple of days or weeks later I do some more work on the images in that folder It would be nice to have a recall feature and just call up - Back up job 0195 -
and run again also do a double backup all at one go.  Eventually the folder will be deleted from the working drive leaving the two backups one of which would then become the working folder.

I cannot see any way of doing that.

Thanks Terry

Transferred to new Subject

Extensive testing and cockups definitely points to a profile problem.  I think there must have been some corruption transferring to my fresh Win7 installation, why??

Even a new profile creation for the Polaroid paper does not work, but that could be my mistake somewhere.

I am downloading a new set of geriatric profiles from Permajet and will give them a run tomorrow.

There has been a number of issues clouding the problem.  Air locks in the cis piping, the piping just brushing the print head at left hand travel, this had a drastic effect causing the print to appear as if it was suffering a alignment problem, whole day to sort out, create an additional bracket out of a old freezer draw to give additional support to the piping.

Started off with a magenta cast, then somewhere it changed to a blue cast on all the custom profiles!!  When I did the last custom profile with the colormunki I noticed that the printed text heading had changed from black to magenta, so spent time and paper creating coloured text jpegs and they all printed fine whatever.  printed out colour wheels and could see no big errors.

Further testing hopefully tomorrow with the Permajet profiles

Terry

I have done some more testing today.

Got some fresh cheap gloss paper and created a custom profile.

Result the custom profile is better than epson manage colour but not a perfect print colour.

Permajet gloss paper with the new downloaded Permajet profile is better than the cheap paper but using epson manages colour gives a better clarity print!

Will give the prints another evaluation tomorrow using daylight. (my print inspection lamp is a fluorescent 6000k artists lamp)

Next test is to create a custom profile with the munki and I could get a custom profile done by Permajet but that would be best left until the next batch of bulk ink.

It looks like the original profiles got corrupted in transfer to the fresh win 7 installation and mixed up with some printer blocked jets and air locks.
