Hi Fred,

This is the "other Fred" again, remember, we're related!

I've gone through my printed Q-image manual and have been trying for several hours to accomplish the following.

I need to print multiple (different) photos on 8.5" x 11.0".  They need to be borderless on the top, left, and right, but there needs to be a 1/2" or 3/4" border at the bottom so I can print the name of the photo (what it is) using the floating text option.

I am using a Canon TS9520 printer and also a Canon Pro 9500 Mark II printer.

Is there a way to get this done?  I would really appreciate your help and expertise.

Thank you,

Fred (Grandphoto)i

There are several ways to do this.  The easiest would be:

  • Select IntelliCut placement using the placement button under the Live View
  • Click Properties on the Printers and Settings tab and set your printer driver to borderless mode
  • Select a thumbnail
  • On the Prints tab, choose Custom size, Specific Size, and enter 8.5 x 10.5 as the size

You will then have an 8.5 x 10.5 print at the top of an 8.5 x 11 inch page.  The other way would be to use "Fit to Page" size and then right click on the print and add a Photo Mat with a half inch border only on the side you want.

Regards,
Mike

Sorry, Fred.
Mike gave you the stuff you needed, but every attempt I made to make and send a video, was met with am imac/iitunes error message.
Sorry Fred
If you have an old PC, pop the videos in there.
Old Fred
Maybe another MAC owner can pop in here and tell us how to play MP4s on a MAC

Fred,

I'll forgive you, if you can explain how I can move a file with notation from Q-image to my Email folder so I can send the completed file to another Email address.

Mike, followed your instructions and all is good here.  I printed out the Q-image manual and can't find my Email issue answered.  I have a photo which has the notation at the bottom, but how can I move it to another folder and not lose the notation (which seems to be happening).
