Floating text is part of the layout: you have to click the "Layout" tab.  You're on the cropping tab.  Smiley

By The way, just since we are closing in on Christmas, I might mention that I make some cards which open and fold like a common greeting card. That is I fold twice on common plain paper, which produces a square double folded card. In order to make it come out right, depending where the text goes, I have to make the text upside down so it looks right when I fold it.
You can easily do that with floating text.
