Hi, I have all settings in Lightroom (Edit -> Preferences -> External Editing) set to export files as TIFF and ProPhotoRGB.  However, when I use the QImage add-in, the files that get exported are AdobeRGB, according to the Embedded Image Information window in QImage.  In contrast, when I export images from Photoshop using the QImage add-in, those files are ProPhoto RGB as I expect.  I am unable to find any additional setting that lets me control the color space of the file that is generated by the QImage add-in.  Can anyone let me know if there is a way to control this, or if this is a limitation of the add-in?  Thanks.

I will attempt to offer some inside ideas.
Unfortunately, I do not own Lightroom so I can't try to repeat what your issue is.
But, some thoughts. It seems illogical that from Photo Shop it comes through embedded and from Lightroom Qimage CHANGES it.
I believe that when there is NO EMBEDDED profile, Qimage will use Adobe RGB as the default colorspace.

Next item is reading the color space from the QU hotbar. If the colorspace is EMBEDDED, Qimage will show it with Asterisks on either side of the colorspace. Otherwise, if Qimage is using a default Adobe RGB, there will be no asterisks.

Last idea....   Put your image into the queue. Right click for the menu. Select CONVERT. At the bottom of the box, you can invoke a profile to profile conversion.
The FROM box says, <input>  The TO box  you click the Browse button and select the Prophoto icm
Make sure the PERFORM conversion is checked.
When you look at the resulting TIFF you should see Prophoto with asterisks showing it is embedded.
Hope some of  this helps.

The setting you changed in Lightroom refers to Lightroom exports (saving TIFFs in LR).  That will work and tag your TIFFs as ProPhoto when you use the file export menu but it doesn't apply to plug-ins.  If you are using the QU plug-in to transfer images to QU, those will convert images to Adobe RGB as the plug-ins have no way to access the LR menu system.  The fact that data is converted to Adobe RGB when using the plug-ins should be of little or no effect when printing since by the time you get to that point, you've already done your final editing and Adobe RGB is big enough to cover normal photos.  Bottom line: it properly converts your images to Adobe RGB so the images will have accurate color as it isn't just "mis-tagging" the images.

Regards,
Mike
