Title: Hi and problem Post by: Mikl on September 28, 2017, 01:38:01 AM Hi all (and Mike) thanks for the add.
I have just purchased Qultimate i.e. complete new user and am struggling when trying to print (some profile charts) the print icon top right has a red cross through and asks me to "clear spool / printer jobs from ipf8000s (I know it is old but it usually works great) I have deleted files from the printer job list etc. Totally at a loss. Oh it did originally print one profile sheet but it had minimised it so my bad and was printing again. For printing profile charts, QU has a pre-set JOB especially for this task. Click the Recall folder icon on LHS of top menu bar (or use File-Recall) Click the J (for Job) at the bottom of the Window that opens Scroll down and choose the Job "{Q} printer target setup.job" and click Open. See 1st screen shot below. You will now see in the QU Properties tab all the correct settings for printing a profile target (chart) and the page preview will show in red "Original Size". In other words, the size is set by the inbuilt data of the chart image. You must set the printer and the paper type & size in the Properties tab. NB. the Print res is determined from your printer driver. See 2nd screen shot. Click the + on bottom RH corner of the chart/target thumb to add to the queue. You are ready to print. I think I detect a secondary problem with perhaps the spooler. It might have a bad file stuck in it. RED X that you mention. So just in case. (there are many ways to get to clear it. Here is one that is easiest to follow.) Assuming Windows 10, We want DEVICES AND PRINTERS I Click on the Search button left side of Task Bar, and type in Devices and Printers. In Device manager screen, find your printer and Double click it. You get screen snap 162 Then get 163 which should show you the file that needs to be clearedClick FILE and Cancel all docs. That will clear that red X on the top right.. Fred Title: Re: Hi and problem Post by: Mikl on September 29, 2017, 03:20:51 AM Thanks Fred and Terry, I will give it a try. A reboot got me one profile done but it was late and didn't try a paper change.
Great response! Thanks. Michael |
