ok Bill,
When you are ready, Right click on the thumbnail and select COPY IMAGE.
A dialogue box opens for you to select the destination.
Scroll (browse) up to the top and you will see DESKTOP.
OK and you did it.

Hi Fred,
Last January you showed me how to save an image to my desktop. I tried it last evening but despite right clicking on a thumb, I could not access the dialogue box you showed 'Select and add thumbs'!!!
What am I doing wrong! Hope you can help me.

Hi Bill,
I have no idea where select and add thumbs comes in when moving an image to the desk top.
I think I might have a guess why it worked before and not now.
If you right click on a thumb, you chose COPY. You scroll the dialogue box for a destination, and choose DESKTOP.  (done) See snap 051

Here's where I believe you got derailed. . If the image is in the queue, showing center screen in Live View, that right click thumb COPY is gone.
It has moved to RIGHT CLICK on the big image, center screen where you right click and find COPY. see 048 and 049
Give that a try. If not, holler back at me

Fred,

Got it at last. This morning, I went back again to my compute, right clicked the Thumb and found the 'Section called 'File Operations' blanked out!! I sat back, scratched my head and would you believe, I had A Eureka moment. I realized that the image was also displayed in live view, so I switched it off. When I went back and right clicked the thumb again, I gained access to File operation. So, I'm good to go now.

 Thanks, Fred, for your patience.

Regards
Bill
